The Drum’s Do It Day: What is it all about?
Greengrass have teamed up with O2 Business Marketing as challengers for Do It Day 2016 to address gender inequality in the workplace by targeting men.
We have set the following challenge to marketers:
How do we engage men in the workplace to actively promote gender equality and understand the benefits it brings to both men and women. A rallying cry: it is not just a women’s issue, it’s an opportunity for all.
Ultimately, we believe that without gender equality, businesses cannot achieve their full potential. So, we are challenging the industry to rally more men and close the gender pay gap for good.
Alongside Greengrass and O2, some of the world’s biggest brands and charities are also involved in Do It Day 2016. In the UK, challengers have posed 14 problems for everyone to help them solve and, in turn, help make the world a better place.
The first part is Plan It Day, a creative strategy day on Thursday 29th September. Marketers from all different walks of life gather together to come up with ideas and solutions for each of the set challenges. Each challenge has a number of different teams working on it and at the end of the day each team pitches their idea to the challenger. The winning idea from Plan it Day is then developed for the next stage; Do It Day.
Do It Day is where the idea comes to life. On Do It Day, the winning teams come together with volunteers from Plan it Day and set about executing those ideas.

We are really excited to be involved in this, bring on Plan It Day!
